Having realized the imperative need to cater to a large populace suffering from Fertility related issues amongst it’s patients, BNWCCC (Bhagirathi Neotia Woman and Child Care Centre) established the Department of Fertility Services in its premises under the name of “GENOMEe-The Fertility Clinic” in the year 2005. The name was however transformed to “GENOME – The Fertility centre” in view of the division’s expansion from a single clinic to multi-locational centres in Kolkata (2 centers), Bardhaman, Medinipur. Genome started its journey in early 2006 within the premises of Bhagirathi Neotia Woman & Child Care Centre, Rawdon Street, Kolkata to deal with the problems and agony of Infertile couples in a comprehensive manner. In the first 7 years Genome has established itself as the leading centre for fertility treatment with a dedicated and qualified team, state of the art facilities and a success rate as per international benchmark.
In the year 2013 Genome not only stepped into its 8th year but commissioned its independent Mother centre at 67, Shakespeare Sarani (formerly Theatre Road) Kolkata 700 017. The first mothercentre was inaugurated by Celebrated actress & mother Juhi Chawla alongwith Ms. Madhu Neotia. In early 2021, Genome has shifted to its present mother centre at sarat bose road located in the heart of the city of kolkata. GENOME over the years has established itself as a Centre of Excellence by way of offering specialized and highly trained team of doctors and embryologists, trained exclusively in Reproductive Medicine in Israel, in an atmosphere that is patient centric, respecting the privacy and dignity of its patients.
